The Lounge

Our flagship venue is a multi-faceted performance venue that moonlights as a local pub. From popular touring artists to local Vermont musicians, the Double E Lounge shines a spotlight on the American roots traditions, comedy, classical and world music to pique your interest, satisfy your curiosity, or get your body moving. With a carefully curated drink menu, high-end production, tiered seating and a dance floor, our doors are open to entertain you.

The ConvenienCE

Abundant, free, on-site parking at our safe, centralized location in the heart of Chittenden County makes up for a few extra minutes in the car. We’re closer than you think- just a 20 min. drive from downtown Burlington and 30 mins. from St. Albans on the Essex Experience campus with its eclectic selection of lifestyle-oriented businesses of the Essex Experience. The Double E provides another high-quality option for touring artists and events in the greater Burlington market.

Is It Party Time?!

Isn’t it always? Whether it's a company party, birthday bash, awards ceremony, recital, speaking event, video shoot, photo session, book or record release party, private concert, film screening, art opening or private parties or meetings of any kind, we can help make your vision come to life. With our multiple venues, full bar, kitchen, stage and screen, multi-media capacity, and professional production and hospitality staff, we’re at your service!

The REALLY Nice Theater

The Double E presents larger concerts, speaking events, multi-media presentations and independent films in our premier listening room with its superior sound quality, Vermont’s only large format cinema screen (and the largest screen in the state), expansive stage, a Steinway D-Series grand piano, excellent production, and super comfortable seats with cup holders (yes, you can enjoy a drink here!), this is a truly great place to see a show.

The Old Stage

Vermont’s summer and fall seasons are magical, and The Double E takes every advantage of the warm weather to present larger shows, festivals and gatherings outdoors at The Old Stage. This wonderful community space on the green faces a 200-year-old barn that was lovingly restored and renovated to house a large, covered stage with top-flight sound and lights, supported by two bars flanking the green.
