Yes! All outdoor shows at The Old Stage are rain or shine, so keep an eye on the weather and bring your rain jackets and umbrellas if it looks dicey. While severe weather may cause a delay or even stoppage in the show, we will do everything in our power to power through and keep rockin’.

Yes! For all outdoor shows at The Old Stage you are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. We just ask that you be respectful of your neighbors and leave space near the front of the stage for people to stand up and dance if they’d like to.

There will always be a bar for all shows at The Double E, no matter which venue the show is in. Plenty of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available!
Please note that the outdoor shows at The Old Stage are CARD ONLY so we are unable to process cash payments (this goes for tickets at the box office as well).

While we don’t serve any in-house food, you are more than welcome to bring in your own food from home or order takeout from any of the multiple restaurants within the Essex Experience! While we do our best to provide a food truck for shows outside at The Old Stage, it isn’t always possible. If you’re attending a show at The Double E Lounge or Theater, you are welcome to purchase snacks and other concessions from just down the hall at The Essex Cinemas.
Feel free to give us a call or send an email if you have questions regarding food trucks for a specific show!

We have three venues here at The Double E, all with their own unique atmosphere and location. More detailed descriptions are available at the “venues” tab above, but the quick and dirty rundown is…
The Old Stage - Our outdoor venue located within the green at the center of the Essex Experience. Typically this is open just for the summer months.
The Theater - Our 380 seat venue located inside The Essex Cinemas, also known as “The T-Rex Theater.”
The Lounge - Our newest and smaller venue that is also located inside The Essex Cinemas. The Lounge can be directly accessed from the outside through the glass double doors that are located directly under the large “EE Performance Center” sign.
-
There’s no blanket answer for this, aside from “it depends on the show.” MOST shows outside at The Old Stage allow for children under the age of 12 to enter for free, but there may be exceptions. For indoor shows at The Lounge and The Theater, all patrons must have a ticket to enter.
Please call or email us if you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy. Oh, and for the love of everything that is holy, PLEASE make sure the young ones have proper hearing protection.

Yes! You can always buy tickets at our box office once doors have opened. Please note that the box office is CARD ONLY so we will not be able to accept cash payments for tickets. The box office is located at the entrance to each respective venue.
